"What Darren was able to
do in resurrecting the finish of this Prairie Mennonite cupboard was
magical. Using his own special formulation, he was able redistribute
the original, brittle, yellow paint to re-cover some badly chipped
areas. And he did this while maintaining the beautiful patina created
by a century’s worth of wear."

"At different times I have
had three pieces of furniture refurbished by Darren - a water stained
teak coffee table; an old vintage teak pedestal table which was quite
scratched and a teak cupboard which also had short legs installed on
it. The work was carried out in an extremely proficient and efficient
manner and Darren took the time to explain what he would recommend and
how he would repair it. He is a very thorough tradesman and I was very
thrilled and pleased with the finished work. I have no hesitation in
highly recommending him for any job he undertakes."

"The service I received
from Darren at Woodsmithing was exceptional and the results he
achieved restoring my damaged, antique sofa were way beyond my
expectations."

My fiancee and I brought this table to Darren in wretched condition.
We had destroyed the veneer with a cleaning product, and the table
had extensive damage we weren't even aware of when we purchased it.
Darren worked hard to source a rare heartwood veneer for the top and
refinished the table perfectly. It is now a truly beautiful piece of
furniture. In short, Darren is an expert craftsman and I would
highly recommend him for any project.
